A programmer rationalizes why something can’t happen because of logically based perceptions. These opinions are not formed out of malice or petty dominance, but far too often are treated like they are.
Alright, so it took me a long time to finally sit down and watch True Blood. I’ve been meaning to catch it, but never found the time. I was afraid I’d watch one and then watch them all straight through in a single weekend… Anyway, all of the promotional subway posters have been driving me crazy. They all have “Do Bad Things” written on them and I actually own the domain: dobadthings.com… Another project that I’ve been meaning to start! Need more time… So tonight I finally gave in and checked out the show. Let’s just say I was shocked to hear “Do Bad Things” in the theme song…! What?!
First episode was awesome all the way through. I’m a fan of vampires stories and so far I’m loving this one.
I hope all episodes are this good and full of so much character development and content. Hope they can keep pushing the story forward.
I hate to start off this post with “Anna Paquin is hot”… but.. I can’t help it! She’s great. It’s amusing that she plays the tormented X-Man Rogue, who can’t help but steal powers just by touching someone, and now this character who can hear thoughts at almost an overwhelming rate.
The Sookie mystery has me hooked. I love the mind reading. It’s throwing me off (right along with Bill) It has me wondering about her parents. Whether she’s part vampire or something else. Anne Rice’s vampires could read minds, but other vampires could close off their minds to them if they were strong enough. It’s interesting, at first I thought Bill was hearing the thoughts right along side her… but no. Looking forward to finding out more!
I love that Bill seems to be in as much thrall with Sookie as she is with him. When she is around him all other thoughts are blotted out… How does she know when he enters a room (and Sam?)… Was he drawing her in, or just another part of her mystery.
The dream scene was hilarious, but obvious.
Sookie: “I never thought I’d be having sex with you. At least, not so fast.”
Bill: “Do you realize that every person in this establishment is staring at us right now?”
- Tara is awesome. Love her!
“I only go off on stupid people”
“You are a gigantic parody of yourself and you don’t even know it”
edit: Disabled comments so I can stay in the dark. I have questions, but I want to be surprised.
Proof of concept for a re-imagined Mortal Kombat movie! It’s so good it gave me chills. Mortal Kombat short
“It’s not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film,” Ryan says on her Twitter page, adding ” I did it as a favor to a friend. No idea yet what WB’s reaction to it was.” - Jeri Ryan
Speculation is rife that the problem has been caused by a clock or calendar bug. The fault emerged overnight, as console calendars switched from February to March, with many PS3 owner reporting that their console clock had reset itself to Dec 31, 1999 or Jan 1, 2000.
…
Sony said that PS3 owners could continue to use their console in offline mode, and for gameplay and other tasks that don’t require internet access. However, some gaming websites are warning PlayStation 3 owners not to turn their consoles on at all until a fix has been issued, because some users have reported problems with their console even when they haven’t tried to log on to the PlayStation Network.
