John Romera posted a short video of the id software office from back in 1993. Some great footage of Romero playing Doom.

SCI FI Channel to become Syfy; “Imagine Greater” is new message.
I couldn’t think of a more try-hard name change. Although, I’m not sure which is worse, the new “ownable trademark” or the tagline. The Sci-Fi channel will always have a warmspot in my heart. Despite all the painful ways in which they try to lose their audience. Horror movies featuring, *gasp*, another giant creature from the animal kingdom. Despite painful corporate meme driven name changes. It’s still scifi and I’ll still be watching… even if I am not tuning in directly these days. Hulu gives us yet another reason to avoid the TV. Pattie Maes & Pranav Mistry: Unveiling the “Sixth Sense,” game-changing wearable tech.
This demo — from Pattie Maes’ lab at MIT, spearheaded by Pranav Mistry — was the buzz of TED. It’s a wearable device with a projector that paves the way for profound interaction with our environment. Imagine “Minority Report” and then some.
Must fine some time to experiment with Cometd and Grizzly.
Arcand’s blog discussing Comet support in Grizzly.
I had been planning on switching domain names for a long time, but I basically stopped blogging in general. Recently, my old web server started having hardware problems and I finally got around to dismantling it. I’ve had this new server up and running for awhile, but never got around to migrating the sites. While I do plan on migrating all the old content, I am in no rush… So, for now, good-bye wickedintellect.com and hello typefury.
